Home Safety Tips
We could all do with a home safety tip or two! If you have children, there are certainly additional safety tips that need to taken into consideration.


Don't overload plug sockets: This is a fire risk!
Don't leave candles burning unattended
Close and lock all doors when you leave the house: You may think you live in a safe area but there still may be an opportune burglar waiting to pounce, don't make it easy for them!
Lock doors and windows when sleeping: You don't want any unwelcome visitors when you are asleep.
Don't leave sharp objects lying around: This is a very important home safety tip to follow if you have children.
Store food correctly: You don't want to give yourself or your family potentially fatal food poisoning.
Install smoke and carbon monoxide detectors around your home: Carbon monoxide really can be a silent killer, you can't see or smell it and it take several days or weeks to effect you. Don't forget to check your detection devices on a regular basis.
Secure your pool: If you have children or pets, erect a gate around a pool, if you have one. Your child or pet can drown in seconds.
